What Your Personality Type Should Be Drinking
Have you ever wondered what type of drink should be associated with your Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)? Well, thanks to Betsy Kendall at OPP.com, you can now find the answer to this age old question. Our MBTI can tell a lot about us that we haven’t realized or just never thought to take a look at.
One of the two primary types of people on the Myers-Briggs scale are the introverts. These are the people that rely on their thoughts and emotions to help guide them through life. They look inward and often block out what’s going on around them. It should come as no surprise that this general class of personalities seems likely to prefer a nice, hot beverage that warms all those feelings you keep locked up inside.
Let’s face it, you internalize and a warm cup of green tea or a steaming mug of cocoa is like a warm blanket that wraps up those feelings and thoughts you hold dear and keeps them safe. However, for those introverts that fall into the thinking category, you tend to gravitate toward the smooth drinking alcoholic beverage like a fine whiskey or a classy martini. They still keep you warm inside but add an extra kick to get those brainwaves moving.
Now the extroverts are a different animal all together. You rely on the outside and physical world to govern your life. You tell people everything that’s going on inside and feed off the responses you get from doing so. You need fuel to keep that outgoing personality chugging along and if you aren’t drinking down an energy drink or something packed full of sugar, you’re turning to the bar to keep you going. Whether it’s a diabetes inducing cocktail or a flaming shot of Sambuca to show the world you can drink fire as well as spit it out, your drink of choice keeps you going strong.

Whoa! that’s pretty accurate. I survive on my tea and coffee, served hot. Introvert? Kind of. But I think I’m more of an ambivert to be precise. Besides gulping down dozens of cups of my favorite hot beverages while I’m working, I don’t hold myself back anyhow when my other side comes to life and enjoy my booze a lot. Now, that may include my favorite wine, a fine glass of champagne or maybe a can of energy drink when I just want to hit that dance floor.
